My formal education entails a Ph.D. in higher education and educational leadership and a certificate in teaching. I've spent fifteen fulfilling years as an educator, deeply committed to supporting and motivating first-generation students. I understand the unique challenges disadvantaged groups face, and I've been passionate about training personnel who work with them to ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.
My journey also includes nine years of mindfulness exploration, during which I've learned the importance of self-care and emotional well-being. This training encompasses Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Mindful Self-Compassion, and Basic Meditation Techniques. Additionally, I am certified in 8-form Tai Chi for Better Balance, which emphasizes the importance of movement as we grow older. I'm completing a 200-hour Yoga Certification Training, further enriching my practice and understanding of holistic well-being for myself and others.
